About
My name is Christopher Spring, I was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. Since I can remember, I have always had a passion for film/videography. I love to consume films and watch the behind the scenes of the production process. It is this passion for film that drives me to get behind the camera. Advertising has always been in my life as well. I was told once that a good advertisement should keep you thinking about it long after viewing. An advertisement can mean so much more than just to drive revenue, it is a way to communicate to your audience. Some of the greatest advertisements that I remember have made me laugh, provided me with a solution to a problem, or have proven their values to me. I stay true to this vision, and I want my creations to reflect this concept.

My current position at WHO 13 News allows me to tell stories through videography. It is my belief that content has to have a personality in order for people to appreciate your work. One thing that I love about covering stories is that you are challenged every time with ensuring that the viewer can fully comprehend the situation and feel as if they are at the event. This can be achieved through compelling closeups, wide shots of the entire scene or providing a different perspective.

As a Communications Specialist at Homemakers Furniture, I oversaw their promotional email and SMS program. Working in their advertising department for almost two years strengthened my ability to make data-based decisions. I love seeing how an intended audience engages with the content that you create. When you analyze this data, you can see how you can improve the quality of your content and the experience for your audience.
